Mark Diker is the CEO of Diker Management, an RIA/family office with $500 million in AUM focused on innovation across public and private investing in technology, consumer, and healthcare sectors. The firm manages Nextlight LP, a hedge fund focused on disruptive and high growth small and mid-cap software, e-commerce, and fintech companies addressing large markets. In addition to Nextlight, Diker Management invests in early and growth-stage AI, technology, healthcare and consumer companies, where the team’s expertise in innovation and technology enables divergent perspectives, while engaging with management teams to drive successful execution.
Over the past 25 years, Mark has invested in hundreds of companies across seed, venture, growth, and public company stages. Earlier in his career, Mark was a partner with Geocapital, a $300 million VC firm focused on enterprise application software and early internet models in the late 1990’s. Mark was a co-founder and co-managing partner of Arsenal Capital, a private equity firm currently with over $8 billion AUM. At Diker Management, the firm selectively makes concentrated investments, often with board level influence and active engagement. In 2021 the firm exited a 20+ year investment in Cantel Medical (NYSE: CMD), a leading medical device company in infection prevention and control, to Steris (NYSE: STE) for $4.2 billion, completing over 30 strategic acquisitions and growing revenues from $60m to over $1.2 billion.
Mark is a graduate of Harvard College (AB Govt, 1988) and Harvard Business School (MBA 1996, Baker Scholar). Prior to HBS, Mark worked for six years in project finance and equity derivatives with Bankers Trust company, stationed in Tokyo.
Mark is currently an Executive Fellow at the Harvard Business School, Board Chair of Public Prep, a K-8 charter school network in New York, Treasurer and Finance Committee board chair of American Repertory Theater at Harvard University, co-chair of the Modern and Contemporary Committee of the Harvard Art Museums, and Chair of National Dance Institute’s endowment Investment Committee.
